EndyMed Medical a pioneer in the use of multi-source radiofrequency for professional aesthetic treatments, announced today that the company has received U.S. A. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its Fractional Skin Resurfacing Applicator. An additional module for the EndyMed PRO multi-application treatment platform, the Fractional Skin Resurfacing Applicator utilizes multi-source RF to provide safe and effective resurfacing of the skin.
This breakthrough technology, 3DEEP© RF for the Fractional Skin Resurfacing Applicator, utilizes a sophisticated computerized algorithm which enables the creation of multiple microscopic treatment points on the surface of the skin simultaneously with deep, volumetric dermal heating. With the Fractional Skin Resurfacing Applicator, the results are efficacious treatments with minimal discomfort and downtime. The significant advantage of the multi-source RF in 3DEEP technology is that it provides, simultaneously, fractional resurfacing and treatment of the deeper layers of the skin by delivering to them uniquely large amounts, hence, treating all skin layers in one pulse.
“Physicians internationally have been using 3DEEP FSR technology for the past six months and have been very pleased with the results,” said Uzi Blumensohn, CEO of EndyMed Medical. “The FDA clearance of this innovative technology enables physicians in the United States to use this RF-only fractional skin resurfacing application to grow their practice by treating skin texture and tone without any skin color limitations.”
EndyMed’s fractional skin resurfacing procedure was featured in a presentation by Neil Sadick, MD, a renowned New York board certified dermatologist and Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College, at the South Beach Symposium held on February 17-21 in Miami, Florida. Dr. Sadick said, “EndyMed’s 3DEEP RF fractional skin resurfacing applicator is one of the new, exciting technologies used for performing this increasingly popular procedure.”
According to Klaus Fritz, MD, a board certified dermatologist and president of the European Society of Laser Dermatology (ESLD), 3DEEP fractional skin resurfacing is effective also in treating scars. “In my practice, we have found 3DEEP fractional skin resurfacing to be a useful modality for both traumatic and acne scars with significant improvement in the appearance of these scars. It really is a versatile and unique radiofrequency modality.” Dr. Fritz presented his findings on 3DEEP fractional skin resurfacing at the 19th annual Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology conference held in Gothenburg, Sweden in October 2010.
